The Jewel of Africa

Zimbabwe is a land of remarkable beauty, where roaring waterfalls, abundant wildlife, and rich culture come together. From the majesty of Victoria Falls, the world renowned safaris at Mana Pools, the endless peaks of Nyanga National Park and everything inbetween, each corner offers a new experience. Explore Lake Kariba’s shimmering waters, venture through Matobo Hills’ striking rock formations, and uncover lesser-known treasures like Gonarezhou National Park. With diverse landscapes, welcoming communities, and incredible wildlife encounters, Zimbabwe is a top choice for those seeking adventure, nature, and culture all in one unforgettable journey.

Waterfalls to Wilderness

Although it carries a mixed reputation thanks to its turbulent past, in our own experiences, nowhere offers a warmer welcome than Zimbabwe. It’s an incredible country, offering everything you could hope for from an African adventure. Many come for the world famous Mosi-oa-Tunya, also known as Victoria Falls, and its world class safaris. However, what they discover is a land full of unexpected delights, the Eastern Highlands and Honde Valley were a particular highlight on our first visit. Rich local culture, and the breathtaking variety of landscapes that make every journey through Zimbabwe truly memorable. Yet what stays with us most is the unrivalled hospitality we experienced at every turn.

Highlights

Victoria Falls

Locally called Mosi-oa-Tunya meaning “the smoke that thunders”, these mighty falls are an incredible sight. Feel the spray, hear the thunder, and for those more daring, bungee jumps, rope swings, and epic white water rafting are on offer.

Mana Pools National Park

A legendary safari destination and one of our favourites in Africa. Some of the elephants here and known for their unique ability to stand on their hind legs to reach high branches for food. Open floodplains, rich wildlife, and unique opportunities to explore on foot or by canoe make this a really special national park.

Hwange National Park

Track elephants on endless plains, listen for lions at night, and camp under star-filled skies. Hwange offers raw, untamed safari adventure where every game drive brings surprises.

Eastern Highlands

In this lesser known corner of Zimbabwe, the mountains stretch endlessly. Home to Nyanga National Park and the country’s highest peak, the area offers breathtaking vistas such as incredible ‘World’s View’ and the banana and tea plantations of the Honde Valley. It also happens to be hot one of our favourite campsites and also local food spots in Africa.

Lake Kariba

Sitting on the bored of Zambia and Zimbabwe is the worlds largest man made lake. Take a boat cruise on the vast waters, fish for tigerfish, and watch elephants at sunset. From a houseboat safari, enjoy the perfect mix of adventure, wildlife, and peaceful relaxation.

Gonarezhou National Park

Explore deep wilderness where elephants roam freely beneath towering red cliffs. Rugged trails, remote camps, and wild rivers make Gonarezhou the ultimate off-the-beaten-path adventure destination in Zimbabwe.
